Then theres something else on my mind. When is a lie worth telling? I mean if it's to protect somebody is it truly right? Aren't all lies wrong? If the truth hurts then should you hold back from telling it or is it all right to bend the truth, exaggerate or down play the seriousness of an event or what have you? Things like these can break up a friendship that is worth so much more. It's enough to make one go loco @_@. Is it better to make somebody hate you so that you don't hurt them later on?
It's funny how as we grow up we gain wisdom and insight often in ways that we never expect to. If you see your friend going on a dangerous path and they appear to be happy should you kill their high? Is it your place to break in and tell them the truth? Or should you let them reap what they sow? All my life I've enjoyed my chances to look on the outside in. Never before has it bothered me.
I mean I keep friends; I just like to sit back and see all the facts for what they are. Make no mistake; we can often do much to influence others. Now I see that it is often best if we don't meddle in every affair of those that we care for. I see now that I have to let people grow and blossom. I want to shield and guard them from the things that can harm them. Perhaps one day we can all look back and laugh at this.
